      The F shape is a similar idea to bar chords on the guitar. I think this lesson is excellent for training LH fingers to match RH picking, and that’s how I use it. Thanks, Mike.

        Yes, the F and D shape are very similar to barre chords on guitar.

        Another thing you could practice is shifting between the F and D shape. That’s great practice as well.
