Retired U.S. Navy CPO - 1965-1988. Retired Sheriff's Office Capt. - 1988-2009. Just began learning banjo March of 2020. I have an amazing instructor, Richard "Chip" Chipman, at the Bluegrass Academy in Moncks Corner, SC. I got a late start in banjo, but have wanted to do this for a long time and am having the time of my life learning to do the music I love. I am playing a Recording King Madison RK-R36 BR which was set up by Ciderville Music in Powell, TN, and thoroughly enjoying this banjo.
