Banjo Intermediate

Harmonized Scales Intermediate Banjo

Learn how to move the same harmonized-scale pattern into any key and use it for melodies or backup. Using G, C, and D as examples, you’ll practice moving two-note shapes while keeping your roll steady and getting your hands to work independently. The lesson also covers syncopation, changing melody notes within a roll, and minor and Dorian variations.

Rated 5 out of 5

I love learning from Mike! His teaching method is very to follow in that he breaks the tunes down measure by measure, explaining, and showing, placement of both hands. The additional source files are terrific and appreciate how he takes licks and/or techniques from a particular tune and teaches, in a separate video, how to implement them in other tunes.
