Reply To: Pentatonic Transition Lick

Using a Metronome, I can slowly flat pick and seem to play correct notes as written, but I cannot figure out when to down pick, and when to up pick. What seems natural to me is not what you have written. When I concentrate on what is written, I get flustered. Is there a way (exercise) for me to get this to click? It is important to learn this, correct? This is for all songs and licks, not just this lesson.
