We’re going to take a moveable G major scale on our 1st string and harmonize it with notes on our 3rd string. These notes, along with our 5th string, will allow us to move around the fretboard while doing a roll with our right hand. This is great practice for getting your index finger playing on the 3rd string which is a common thing beginning banjo players struggle with (I know I did.)
Best of all, it’s a moveable pattern so you can use this lesson to play in any key! Download the tab that follows along with the exercises!
