Hi Mike! What do I do about capo’ing the 5th string if I don’t have the spikes in place? I tried adjusting that string manually but was afraid I’d break it.
      Thanks, Julie

You’ll want to get a 5th string capo if you don’t have spikes.

You’re correct you wouldn’t want to turn the 5th string up too much as it might break.

Otherwise you can play the songs without a capo and just play in G.

Hi Mike, once the capo is in place. How do you finger your chords? If the capo becomes a “new” nut, does an F shape on the new third fret produce a G?

Thanks Mike, This was very helpful. I had two capo’s and the one with the screw worked way better than the one with the spring. I struggles to play with capo and this lesson helped a lot. I did not check my tuning after putting the capo on and the sounds was bad, but got it know:)

      Verificarion Question:
Capo on 2nd fret = key of A: 5th string piched under nail at 7th fret
Capo on 5th fret = key of C: 5th string piched under nail at 8th fret?,
and the other two Capo locations are?
