      In the movie “Who framed Roger Rabbit ” , Christopher Loyds character uses the (Shave and a haircut) knock pattern to drive Roger rabbit out of hiding.He explains that no cartoon can ressist finishing it once they hear the pattern start. The words that go with the knock are…Shave and a haircut two bits (2 bits meaning the price)
      So its odd tittle comes from its selom known lyrics ๐Ÿ™‚

      My father grew up during the depression and the expression “two bits” (meaning 25 cents) was a part of his regular vocabulary.
