Hi Mike – I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all that you do for your students. I am always excited when I see something new come into my email. And since I have been trying recently to focus on learning how to be a good backup player – I’m especially excited about this lesson. I wish I were a good enough musician that I could just “pick up” backup playing by ear but that is really difficult for me so the fact that you take the time to do the tabs for your backup lessons is SO APPRECIATED!!! It just gives me a really good idea of some basics for backup that I can piece together and use in other songs. Thanks for all you do. You are the BEST !!!

your “never too old to learn” 70 year old banjo student :o)I would like to be able to practice playing this backup along with a vocal to get the feel of what it is like to play behind a vocalist. Is the chord progression in this lesson based on any particular song? And maybe I can find the song (with vocal) somewhere on the internet so that I could practice along with it. Thanks so much for any help.
